History

"Konjuh" Joint Stock Company for Furniture Production and Trade
Zivinice, was established by Hungarian enrepreneurs in 1885, when organized cutting
of woods and wood processing started.
Until the beginning of the 60's "Konjuh" based its work on a simple
production process, wide product range and low degree of processing.
Product range and the situation in the company became more stable in the
beginning of the 60's, when "Konjuh" made a strategic decision about
its product range. They focused on specialized industrial production of dining
room tables and chairs made of massive beech wood and started to develop as a
well-known producer. However, the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina ended its
development.
However, even in the wartime "Konjuh" managed to continue with the
production and employ at least a minimum of its capacity, but also to develop
new programmes with their own knowledge and experience:
- redesigned dining room furniture,
- office furniture
- school furniture,
- semi-products: peeled beech veneer and pressed elements for upholstering
and lacquering
"Konjuh" has a rich offer of standard quality final products which
are functional, highly ergonomic and have good prices. This is how 'Konjuh' is
trying to meet the requirements of a wide segment of customers in South Eastern
Europe and to establish its position as a supplier of large export customers in
other European countries.
In addition to its regular product range, "Konjuh" is ready to produce
customer's models if its equipment permits.
